Recreation on Colby & Whitewater LakesColby and Whitewater Lake are located minutes from downtown Hoyt Lakes and provide many recreational activities including: fishing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, swimming and picnic areas.
Birch Cove BeachLocated on Colby Lake, the beach is supervised by certified lifeguards and consists of a playground, picnic tables, sand volleyball court, boat launch with a dock, and large parking lot. The beach is now OPEN for the season. Lifeguards are on duty Monday - Friday, 11 AM - 5 PM.
Fisherman's Point CampgroundLocated on a wooded peninsula on Whitewater Lake less than two miles from Downtown Hoyt Lakes. Featuring 93 secluded wooded campsites, most on lakeshore; Boat launch, Fishing Pier, Electrical Hookups, Fish Cleaning House, Children's Playground, Bike Rental, Picnic Tables & Fire Rings, and spectacular Paved Hiking and Biking Paths that weave through the forest.
FishingFishing is a way of life in Hoyt Lakes no matter the season. Enjoy the wilderness and wildlife scenery while fishing on Whitewater or Colby Lakes in the summer or while ice fishing in the winter when a community of fish houses pop up. Both lakes have water access ramps and vehicle/trailer parking spaces: Colby's access is located at Birch Cove Beach and Whitewater's is located towards the end of Fisherman's Point Campground. Whitewater also has fishing docks located towards the end of Fisherman's Point Campground.
